I had an epiphany. Maybe, epiphany is an overstatement..I had a thought this morning.I was reading a novel about crime cases, ok more specific, I was reading Sherlock Holmes. It described a dead man, the horrified face of his, his eyes and some other stuff in details. Then I thought, if men invented a device which can transfer last images seen by the eyes into a more complicated machine, and at last project it to a monitor screen, then crime solving will not be that difficult right? If it is invented, detectives can see what were the victim's last moments, and the face of the murderer. The device will extract information from occipital cortex and the amygdala located in the limbic system(brain). Occipital cortex is in charge of processing what we see and amygdala stores emotionally provoked memories, especially fear. So combining those informations, images that are integral in solving the case can be extracted. If the victim's eyes are removed, it will not affect the information because its the brain that stores the images, not the eyes, the eyes are just a vessel that transfer the images. Erm...I sound cold blooded to speak of it that way...
But then, if the criminals know that the brain is the key to this device, there might be a problem of increasing headless corpses. Being haunted by beheaded men is very disturbing, so maybe..such devices shouldn't be invented at all..
This is a gross post..now I am imagining flying heads and eyeballs..eww.....gosh..I shouldn't have written this at all..god knows how often I have nightmares..But for the sake of science and justice, I am risking peaceful nights delivering this..noble huh? hehe enough crap for today.
