I went for a swim today. I think the world under water is much better. Quietly beautiful. Everything seems to slow down when you observe in the water.
Silence.
I always choose to stay awake at night because its quiet. If I can breathe under water, I will stay in the water instead. Its a pity I can't stay under the water, like many swimmers can. Someone taught me how but I never get it, must I hold my breath or let it out so that I can sink? So I can't sit on the floor of the swimming pool. It would be nice if I can sit and observe...Not that there's much to see in the swimming pool though..so what's the point? Can't really sit and chat with friends under water right? Well, actually, I know there's a person who will happily join me if I say I wanna sit and chat under water because she told me she loves sitting on the floor of the pool.
When I swim, I hear nothing, can't feel the motion as well, its like time stops..
Safe and secured.
The water is like a barrier that separates the outer world from me. Under water, it feels like everything that happen above the water can never affect me, and I am merely an outsider, observing quietly.
And it makes me feel safe and calm.
Provided that I don't drown though. Here's a thought: why can't everybody swims when we were in water ( amniotic fluid) for at least nine months once upon a time?
