Hehe, they were very proud of their art.
The artist..
Art in progress
This morning I woke up on my own ( proud..), my mum usually calls my cell phone to wake me up for work, since its a daily routine, I am usually half awake before she calls because my brain seems to remember the pattern already. But today she didn't call, I was wondering if its a Saturday, or is it because of the heavy rain, my work is called off? After reasoning for awhile, I decided to get up, luckily, because my mum didn't forget, she was just late because she figured since its raining, she will let me sleep for awhile ..haih, there goes my off-work fantasy...Such a nice weather to sleep...
Today my kids finished the work I gave them earlier. Maybe its because of the holiday mood, they were very lively. I was a bit nervous because the day before, I promised to tell them ghost stories today, but I forgot to google the stories so I had none to tell. Fortunately, children are forgetful beings, hehe so they didn't ask for it..I was draining my brain trying to make up a ghost story while they were doing their exercises. After that, I let them play since its almost holiday. However, they must abide by my rules.
The game was very simple. I know they love to draw, since today I'm teaching science, I asked them to draw a picture of a jungle and the living things present in the jungle on the white board. After that, they must label the creatures they drew. They were very excited because they get to draw on the board, I was a kid once, so I know how much attraction a white board holds. I have no idea why now. I told them not to include any robot or ninjas..they have a tendency to include that in their drawing so I told them I will minus their mark if they do that. Actually, its not a test or a competition but it worked. Kids..
They were very serious in the creation of the art. One of them even went through the trouble of finding a picture book and referred to the pictures of animals. After that, I taught them how to form food chains. They have not learned it before so its new to them. But since its referring to their own drawings, they happily formed out nice and long food chains for me. Learning and playing sure come together for kids. So in the end, they learned how to form food chain in the jungle and the sea. By the way, kids really do have rich imagination.
Oh, they asked me to upload the pictures on facebook so they can comment on it..facebook again, I really don't like the way it is getting more and more influential..soon it will be the only means of communication..ish..
